Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, an annual visit is extremely important.  Even if your pet is not due for vaccines, we recommend an annual physical to ensure your pet is healthy.  By law, we are also required to see your pet within the last year to prescribe any medications including heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.

  • We offer services for cats and dogs. 

  • We offer a variety of services including exams (healthy and sick), diagnostic services, surgical procedures, and euthanasia services.  Please see our Services page for more information.

  • Indoor pets aren’t completely isolated from disease—viruses and bacteria can be carried into your home. Vaccinations protect your pets and give you peace of mind knowing they’re safe.

  • All cats and dogs are required by law to be vaccinated for rabies. 

    Other core vaccines for dogs include:

    • Distemper (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza)

    • Leptospirosis

    Optional vaccines for dogs based on lifestyle:

    • Lyme

    • Bordetella (required by most boarding facilities)

    • Influenza (required by most boarding facilities)

  •  All cats and dogs are required by law to be vaccinated for rabies.

    • FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia)

    Optional vaccines for cats based on lifestyle:

    • Feline leukemia vaccine (recommended for kittens and outdoor cats)

  • Currently we do not offer boarding services.

  • The earliest we recommend spaying/neutering your pet is 6 months of age.  However, there are certain breeds that we recommend waiting until 12-18 months to promote orthopedic development.  Please ask one of our veterinarians for more information.

  •  Payment is due at time of service.  We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.  Please ask our staff about fees or payment questions prior to services
